It’s official! On December 6 at 3:48pm, President Stacey Bartholomew signed and completed the transfer of the property on 241 Waverly into the Creating Housing Coalition ownership.
With the help of Board Member Rob Dibble and Dan Watson of K&D Engineering, we are now working furiously on the planned development criteria so that we can get the designs and all necessary requirements for the application completed before the end of the year. Requests for construction bids will be sent out early in the new year as we anticipate city approval.
If all goes as planned, we’ll be ready to start the dirty work this spring! Randy Patterson from Baldwin Construction has been consulting with us and helping to put the construction timeline in place. First up will be the clearing of trees and demolition of the existing structure. Infrastructure development–which includes utilities, foundations and stormwater abatement–should be completed before the end of summer.
